Beef Lo Mein

Instructions:

  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over high heat. Add the sliced steak and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining oil and sauté the garlic and ginger for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the red bell pepper, yellow onion, and mushrooms and continue to stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, cornstarch, and water.
  6. Add the sauce to the skillet and stir to combine.
  7. Add the cooked noodles and stir-fry until the sauce has thickened and the noodles are well coated, about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Stir in the cooked steak and green onions.
  9. Serve hot and garnish with sesame seeds, if desired.
