Chocolate Fudge Brownies

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.

In a small saucepan, melt the unsweetened chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth. Remove from the heat and let cool slightly.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the sugar, eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually stir the flour mixture into the egg mixture until just blended.

Fold in the melted chocolate mixture and chocolate chips until evenly combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and hot water until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled brownies.

Cut into squares and serve.
