- 2 lbs of chicken wings
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Ingredients for the Mac and Cheese:
- 1 lb of elbow macaroni
- 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 2 cups of whole milk
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and pepper.
- Toss the chicken wings in the flour mixture to coat evenly.
- Place the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until crispy and cooked through.
- In a small saucepan, combine the honey, BBQ sauce, and olive oil. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is heated through.
- Remove the wings from the oven and brush them with the honey BBQ sauce.
- Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.
- Serve the wings with the remaining sauce on the side for dipping.
Instructions for the Mac and Cheese:
- Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the mixture becomes a paste.
- Slowly whisk in the milk and continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the shredded cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
- Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until well combined.
- Transfer the mac and cheese to a serving dish and serve immediately.
