Step 1: Cook the Beef
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through.
- Drain any excess fat.
Step 2: Add Seasonings
- Add minced garlic and onion powder to the skillet.
- Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes, stirring frequently.
Step 3: Simmer in Cheese Soup
- Stir in the condensed cheddar cheese soup, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 4: Prepare the Bread
- Preheat your broiler.
- Slice the French bread into sandwich-sized portions.
- Spread butter onto each slice and place them on a baking sheet.
- Broil for 2–3 minutes or until the bread is lightly toasted.
Step 5: Assemble the Sandwiches
- Spoon the meat mixture onto each slice of bread.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Broil for an additional 1–2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
