Sloppy Joe Grilled Burritos
Ingredients:
2 pounds lean ground beef
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp chopped onion
2 tbsp red bell pepper, chopped
2 tbsp green bell peppers
½ cup ketchup
3 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
2 tsp light brown sugar
1 tsp onion powder
2 cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
⅓ cup milk
1 tbsp butter
1 cup Cheddar Cheese, additional for sprinkling
Large tortillas
Instructions:
Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped green and red bell peppers, onions, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and the vegetables are tender. Drain any excess fat from the pan.
In a small bowl, combine ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and brown sugar. Stir well.
Add the ketchup mixture to the skillet with the ground beef and vegetables. Stir to combine and let it simmer for a few minutes until heated through.
In a saucepan, combine shredded cheddar cheese, milk, and butter. Melt together over low heat until smooth and creamy.
Lay out the large tortillas on a clean surface. Spoon a generous portion of the sloppy joe mixture onto the center of each tortilla. Top with a spoonful of the cheese sauce.
Roll up the tortillas into burritos, folding in the sides as you roll.
Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place the burritos seam-side down in the skillet and cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Remove the burritos from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Sprinkle additional shredded cheddar cheese on top of the hot burritos before serving. Enjoy your delicious Sloppy Joe Grilled Burritos!
